WHAT TO PACK! NO REALLY.....

DON'T BREAK YOUR HUMP HAVE FUN IN THE SUN CREEK SIDE INSTEAD…

Creek view camping is an awesome adventure with great sounds and views of the creek as well as cool temperatures to beat the heat. First thing  to remember is these sites are a hike in so what you take down, you bring back out. This style of camping is better suited for the idea of less is more. We have put some ideas for you to make your trek a little easier. This may take a little planning but you will be much happier sitting and relaxing rather then dragging the kitchen sink down and back.

  1. Think about preparing food ahead of time and freezing it or layering food in containers or tin foil.

  2. Bagging food in ziplocks per meal or day to take down rather then the whole packages.

  3. Leave larger cooler in your car with dry ice, take a small cooler up and down, coolers with wheels don’t work!!!

  4. Leave most of your clothing in the car as well we toiletries, your car and the bathhouse are in the parking lot.

  5. Water, get a water filtration system about $20 at Walmart, to save hauling full gallon jugs

  6. No glass, it weighs a ton and if broken leaves a big mess for you to haul out

  7. Backpack that holds most of your gear

  8. Sleeping Bag

  9. Small tent

  10. Camp chair or ground/beach blanket

  11. One of each per person plates, utensils, cups

  12. One pot and/or pan, tin foil the rest

  13. Soap that is biodegradable so you can wash in the creek
